Service Description

This class is based on a culmination of acting techniques and is designed for a limited number of serious actors. With a Level process, containing 4 Levels. You must pass each Level to proceed on to the next. Level 1: Beginner You will: Learn the tools that an actor needs to be able to efficiently be confident when making bold choices. Understand the difference between analyzing a script and studying a script. Be comfortable in creating unique characters that set you apart from other actors. Strengthen the basic acting techniques that create flawless transitions and beats. Level 2: Intermediate You will: Deepen your understanding of “the work” that goes into creating a natural and organic scene. Discover new ways to make choices and take risks when coming to your characters. Become open to any and all ideas that are presented to you by your seen partner, in the form of “Yes-and”. Understanding how to use the power of your voice, tone, and vocal quality to enhance your character and scene work. Level 3: Advanced You Will: Grow your emotional threshold and be able to embody complex thoughts, emotions, and feelings of your characters Increase your bodily awareness to encompass natural physicality and movement when doing your scene and character work. Be able to engulf your character in the moment to moment to create the spontaneity that is required in a scene. Have the confidence to do the work and then throw it all away. Level 4: Master You Will: Intensify the level of your work and craft. Heighten your ability to be fully prepared for any scene that you are presented with. Enhance your skills in vulnerability to bring about an honesty and truth to your work. Grow your tool set to incorporate all of the skills for problem-solving, and confident choice making for scene and character work. The class itself is process-oriented, not performance-oriented. You will work together on memorized scenes. And be up on your feet every class. To register for the class please click the button below. Enrollment is on a rolling basis but the class size is limited for individualized attention. Class meets from 6 PM - 8 PM. There will be breaks. Tuition is $150 + $8 Paypal processing fee per month.
